As many of you will know I run a little classic Mini and for the last 3 years my brtoher Paul and myself have been taking part in an event called the Legendary Grand Tour of North Devon orgainsed by the North Devon Mini Register (www.smallcarsbighearts.co.uk).  THe LGT is organised in aid of the CHSW and this year we are rasing money for the Messy Play Area 3 for their new hospice in Cornwall.  THe LGT is a 2/3 day event with 300 mini's classic and new starting on the Saturday evening with the THe Kebab Cruise from Northam Burrows into Bideford just to let the locals know we have arrived! Sunday then see's us take over Bideford park in the morning for a trip to Heartland Quay and then on to a local event or attraction (this years hasn't been announced yet) Sunday evening then sees many of the Mini's being decorated ready for the big day on Monday (yes Bank Holiday Monday!!)

Monday is the BIG ONE Mini's start arriving really early on Westwood Ho!'s prominarde and it's a hive of activity with people in fancey dress heading for the local cafes and shops to stock up on supplies.  The buzy around Westward Ho! is amazing with locals coming out to see the Mini's off on their journey to Illfacombe via Little Bridge House (one of CHSW Hospices) and Lee Abbey and the Valley of the Rocks.  People line the streets sit in lay bys in the middle of no where to watch the Mini's go by.

When we get to Illfacombe there is a prize gving/auction etc.  THis year the the aim is to rasie £50,000 for 50 years of the Mini over all the events organised my the North Devon Mini Register

It is a truely amazing weekend and one that all Mini owenrs should do

Please help us rasie as much money as possibel for this worthy cuase
