Mark's Matchday Marathon Walk (chelmsford to London Stadium) · 5 October 2019

1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. At Prostate Cancer UK, we’re giving every man the power to navigate it. With over £100 million invested in research, treatment, and care, we’re building a future where prostate cancer no longer cuts men’s lives short. Together, we can help save men’s lives.

Story

Thanks for looking-in at my JustGiving page.  Please read on because I’d really appreciate your help in raising funds for a very worthy cause that’s very close to my heart.

On Saturday 5 October I will be undertaking a 26 mile marathon walk from Chelmsford to the London Stadium at Stratford to attend the West Ham v Crystal Palace match.

Q. What's inspired me to do this?

A. Losing my Uncle to Prostate Cancer.

Last year I looked-on helplessly as my uncle's health and finally his life was cruelly taken by Prostate Cancer, a disease killing one man every 45 minutes in the UK. Malcolm was a lifelong Hammer with a passion for sport. I will start my marathon walk from his home in Chelmsford.

Please help me in my efforts to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK.  This wonderful organisation has a simple ambition – to stop men dying from prostate cancer. It aims to shift the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention and support to stop prostate cancer being a killer. It is there for everyone who believes our fathers, brothers, husbands, partners and sons are worth fighting for.

Thank you
