I think I am having a mid-life crisis, unlike others who have found themselves in this unfortunate position:

I cannot afford a Ferrari

I cannot afford a trophy girlfriend

SO

I am running 26.2 miles!

3 years ago my Dad died from a blood disorder at the age of 66, he fought his condition for over 5 years.

I am running to help eliminate Leukaemia.

Each year in the UK over 21,500 people contract a blood cancer.  Such diseases can strike anyone at anytime.

Today 80% of children with leukaemia, and 50% of adults under 65 years, are cured.

Rapid progress continues, although about 9,500 patients still die each year. Unfortunatly my Dad was one of those who was not lucky..

Elimination of Leukaemia Fund’s mission is to advance the cure and treatment of leukaemia and other blood cancers throughout the UK.  It aims to identify projects of national and sometimes international significance, to raise the funds required and to ensure each project is delivered on time and on budget.

Please help and dig deep.

PS. If anyone who has completed their mid life crisis has a second hand Ferrari please contact me!

Regards

Mark
