Three Peaks Challenge · 4 May 2012

The Nepal Trust is working with Health, Education, Renewable Energy, Heritage Preservation and Eco-Tourism in the far NW of Nepal. Its main objective is to help create community projects that emphasize local participation and responsibility and give hope to the people of this very remote and impoverished area, where every day is a struggle for survival.

Story

I'm delighted to report that the Challenge was successfully completed over the Bank Holiday weekend. Thank you all for your support - it really was a great motivation when my legs started to wonder what was going on about three quarters of the way up Ben Nevis on Friday. Somehow, after that, we managed okay (both me and the legs!).Thank you again.

                                  _____________________

Here in Britain we take so many things for granted. But to the mountain communitites of Nepal even rudimentary healthcare and education cannot be taken for granted. So I'm taking to the hills in May for a slightly soft version of the Three Peaks challenge. Soft in the sense that we will be taking three days, rather than one, to scale the peaks of Ben Nevis, Scaffel Pike and Snowdon. Securing donations for such a good cause will be a great encouragement for me to get my head down and complete the challenge successfully. I do hope that you are able to suport this wonderful cause.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
