My family and close friends have been hit with this terrible disease time and time again. this is my way to say a little thank you to the staff and to help to allow them to carry on the great work they do day in day
out. 

Each year, thousands of people walk 14 or 5 miles between our Chelsea and Sutton hospitals to support The Royal Marsden and help build a future beyond cancer.

This is a great way for individuals, friends and family to raise funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, show their support or honour a loved one. It’s also a great opportunity to recognise the ways in which your life has been touched by cancer alongside others with similar experiences.
The walkers are supporters, patients, family, friends and hospital staff – everyone who supports the pioneering work of The Royal Marsden. Each year, many hospital staff sign up, along with our loyal celebrity supporters.

At the end of the route there is a big thank-you party for all our walkers – a great way to celebrate the end of a fun day with other walkers and staff from both hospitals. There is always a BBQ, face-painting and live entertainment with a series of guest bands. All funds raised go directly to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, so every pound donated will help to provide the best possible diagnosis, treatment and care for those affected by cancer. 

The full 14-mile route goes through Chelsea, Putney, Wimbledon and into Sutton. There is also a shorter, family-friendly 5-mile route that follows the last five miles of the main route, for anyone wanting a less strenuous walk.
