My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 18th September 2011, an earthquake measuring 6.8 on the richter scale hit the NE region of India, Nepal & Bhutan. The epicentre was less than 100 miles from Dr Graham's Homes, a school established in 1900. There were some 90+ fatalities in the stricken area and substantial structural damage to the school buildings which threatens the education of many of the 1,460 pupils.
I am planning to cycle in a small group the 670km from Kolkata to Kalimpong in 7 days to raise vital funds for the school to help with repairs following the earthquake. We set off on 19th February 2012 and I would be very grateful if you could sponsor me to help reach my fundraising target of £2,000 for the school!
I am paying for all travel and subsistance on the expedition so all funds raised go straight to the school.
A percentage of pupils come from the streets of Kolkata thanks to funds raised and sponsorship. Please be part of this vital support.
