As you know my mum is no longer with us as she passed away on April 13th 2009, in the last year she received excellent treatment and great care from the staff at the Beatsons Oncology Centre in Glasgow (as do most cancer sufferers in the West of Scotland), as a token of thanks on behalf of my family I'd like to raise as much money as possible to help them keep up the great work that they do by running in the Great Scottish Run (Glasgow Half Marathon).
Mum was and is an inspiration to all who knew her, so if she can fight cancer like she did, then I can run 13 miles and I'm sure you can dig deep too and spare a few bob.
Your donations go straight to the Beatsons and any monies they receive is invested in training, providing additional care and in purchasing equipment that they couldn't get from NHS resources, so anything you give goes to a great cause and will help cancer research and care for patients at the Beatsons.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
