26.2 mile South Downs Charity Trek · 26 September 2014

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Work are arranging a charity trek of 26.2 miles over the South Downs on the 26th September 2014. I thought this would be an opportunity to do something for others and test my endurance as I have never done anything like this before. Especially as I now have a new hip now, I want to see if I can.

I thought about what to raise money for and the obvious answer was Parkinson's UK. My father-in-law has been diagnosed with this debilitating disease and I feel so helpless to help him. Also a very old family friend had Parkinson's for many years. So this is for you Brian and Adrian.

Please support my walk to help Parkinson's UK with the work that they do and, hopefully, one day find a cure for this horrible disease.

Thank you
