Saint Francis Hospice is a leading provider of palliative care for people living in Havering, Brentwood, Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham. We care for people from 18 years of age, of any race or religion, who have a life limiting illness due to cancer, heart disease, motor neurone disease or respiratory disease and we provide physical, spiritual and emotional care and support to patients and their families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In May 2011 I will be climbing to the highest point in the World. The Summit of Mount Everest is 8850 metres high. In September this year as a warm up and to celebrate my 50th birthday I will be climbing the 6th highest mountain in the World, Cho Oyu, a mere 8201 metres high. Full details of this and previous events can be found at my website www.markpinnock.com

I want to raise £20,000.0 for St.Francis Hospice. I will be paying all my own costs so EVERY penny we raise will go directly to care at the hospice.

£20,000.00 could pay for:

2 admissions to the inpatient unit for 30 days of care.

100 hospice at home visits

The day hospice to be open for 100 days

The triage service running costs paid for 6 months

The costs of the community palliative care nursing team for a week.
