April 10 2011- Brighton Marathon run AND finished in honour of Bernie. Thanks so much to anyone who donated, I raised the £2000 I wanted for the Martlets and am well on the way to the £3,000. This money goes direct to the hospice and the tax man adds gift aid so they get even more. Thanks again everyone!

In September 2008 I lost my very good friend Mark Turner..or Bernie, as I knew him, to a brain tumour. His last few weeks were spent in the Martlets Hospice where the care and attention he received during this time were second to none. I wanted to honour Bernie's memory by doing something outside of my comfort zone and, at the same time, raise some money to support this great place. Well, I certainly chose outside my comfort zone...on April 10 2011 I will be running the Brighton Marathon in his memory!!! I'd like to raise a couple of grand so need all my friends to support me ( I might need you all to support me physically if I get to the end of the 26 miles!!) Please try and find a bit of cash for the cause, all donations will be gratefully received whatever their size. And if you want a laugh....get out on the course on the day and give us a shout....I'm going to need all the help I can get!
