Corporate Charity Fundraising-London Triathlon · 22 July 2017 to 23 July 2017 ·

We are a voluntary Search and Rescue service covering the Central Brecon Beacons and the South and Mid Wales area. A 999 24/7 service operating in all weather conditions to assist those injured/lost in mountain/rural/urban environments. We rely on donations for the £60,000 yearly running costs.

Story

So it was kind of expected that i would enter again and I know that if I didnt I would only regret it when the event came round!

Olympic distance Triathlon, swimming 1.5km, cycling 40km and running 10km.

This year I thought I would raise money for a small charity that means a great deal to a good friend and fellow TSB Partner - Rachel Hughes (the plan is she will have to enter next year!!) Rachel lost her father following a battle with cancer and the charity meant a great deal to him. Over to Rachel:

Well my Dad was involved with the charity for over 50 years. Tere’s a picture from when the team started up (my Dad is circled). He became Team Leader in the early 90s and then Chairman, a post he held up until he died. They are an amazing charity, providing assistance not only to people in the mountains, but also to Police forces, helping them to search for missing people in built up areas.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
