I've worked in and with the pharmaceutical industry for the last 6 years.  During this time have seen the great work that patient groups and charities like Myeloma UK can do to raise money for research, and I've seen first hand the support that can be provided to patients and their families. 

This is both a great cause to raise money for and a fantastic personal challenge. 

I have my trusty 1987 Daccordi  road bike that will hopefully make this journey without falling apart - let's see.

Research is critically important because myeloma is a complex cancer with no known cure. Its also relapsing and remitting which means many patients are in desperate need of that next treatment. At Myeloma UK, we work to accelerate the discovery and development of effective treatments, and ultimately, to find a cure for myeloma.
