The National Literacy Trust aims to create a society in which everyone has the reading, writing, speaking and listening skills that they need to fulfil their own and, ultimately, the nation’s potential.

Story

Cakewalk

Two years ago I walked 72 miles of Yorkshire countryside to raise money for the National Literacy Trust, but also to complete a walk  I had started many times and never before completed. This year I am relishing a new challenge.. walking 27 miles of the Brecon Beacons.

27 miles may seem easier than 72, but this will be no cakewalk! The walk will take place over 12 hours across some pretty diverse terrain, and swapping Yorkshire for South Wales only adds to the thrill of adventure.

I will continue to support the National Literacy Trust with my fundraising efforts, and would be grateful for any donations to this worthy cause.

The National Literacy Trust supports children in developing valuable literacy skills, which can open the door to many opportunities in life.
