I am doing this challenge to help raise funds for research to find a cure for Rett Syndrome. This is close to my heart as an old school friend has a young daughter that suffers from this debilitating disease. This disease only affects girls and The Rett Syndrome Research Trust is aggressively and exclusively focused on the development of treatments and cures for Rett Syndrome and related MECP2 disorders.

The more funds we can raise means that a cure is nearer as more research can be done, quicker. We are not only trying to effect todays generation but to help future generations.
