Nine months ago I was a couch potato, not really doing much    exercise at all, however when a very good friend was diagnosed with Mesothelioma, and I could see that she was going to battle with the disease and carry on living as long as she could, I thought it was time for me to do something for her and her charity. Having never run before in my life I decided to give it a try in September last year, and can now run 13 miles in under 2 hours so I will be running the Silverstone half marathon on 6th March 2011.

Sadly Wendy lost her fight with life in October, but there is no doubt that she will be running beside me all the way.
