Fundraising Events arranged so far for 2012 19th February-Sponsored Walk vs Run 25th February-Sponsored Non Stop Cricket for 3 Hours Junior Member's at Rockingham CC @ Kirk Balk School, Hoyland 10am Start 17th March-Comedy Night @ Rockngham CC with Raffle and Auction in aid of  Sheffields Children's Hospital  On the 14th October 2011 Sheffield's Children's Hospital saved my son's life. Owen suffered  a tragic accident at school and suffered a fracture to his skull and had a severe bleed to his head. The dedicated people of this hospital performed what can only be called a miracle on this day to prevent a life from being lost for good. These people not only saved his life but gave him and our family the best care and support during this difficult time. Owen is now on his way to a full recovery and starting to plan sponsored events like this one in the future. We want to raise the profile of this Hospital and ensure that through raising Money for the Hospital Theatre's other children's lifes can be saved.  Owen and his dad have a passion for Cricket and both play for Rockingham CC with his dad captaining the 1st Team and coaching Owen who plays for the U9's and so we decided to start the walk from there to the hospital. As the club have supported Owen and the family through these difficult times we are fundraising for both organisations. The Cricket Club are raising funds for a new scoreboard and the Hospital are wanting to improve their Theatre's. The event is a race between the Walker's and a team of Runner's from Kimberworth Strider's who will be lead by our first team player Andy Lockwood. Andy and his team will aim to run the 20 mile before the walker's finish there 10 miles. The Runner's will start their race from the Children's Hospital running back to Rockingham Cricket Club then returning back to the Hospital before the walker's  finish their walk from Rockingham Cricket Club to the Hospital.
