Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Joseph Foote Trust was set up by Andy and Judy Foote, great family friends whose son, Joseph was diagnosed with a brain tumour aged 2 and a half years old.

The cancer, after multiple surgeries and treatments kept returning and eventually claimed his life aged just 9.

I'm running this year's Virgin London Marathon, my second London and third in total, to help the fight against a killer that today only 15% of sufferers survive. The aim by 2022 is to raise that survival rate to 80%. Your invaluable support will help make this happen.

Training has fallen away recently due to shin splints and has slowly started to rebuild towards plan with the aid of - compression socks - you seriously need a can opener to get these mothers off after a swift 8 miler.

The fab weather has helped encourage me to get out and train and lose a few more pounds due to the heat.

The support to date has been magnificent and I am truly grateful to everyone who has donated to date.

Thank you!
