Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just-Giving page.
Being a keen cyclist, and I don't just mean I like watching the Tour De France (honest)... I have decided to participate in The Alzheimer's Society London to Paris Cycling Challenge in September 2010.
Over four days I will be cycling over 300 miles from London, through the Kent and then French countryside and on to Paris. 80 miles a day to cross the finishing line beneath the arches of the Eiffel Tower. I am sure the first 'Stella' after finishing will be tres tres bon!
This will take some small sacrifices on my part...including reduction in beer drinking, avoidance of Winchester Subway & Kebab shop, eating fruit and missing a Pompey match or two...sorry did I say small sacrifices!!?
A wonderful challenge though..all in aid of The Alzheimer's Society.
Someone very close to me had someone very special taken away from them by this horrible illness. I would like to raise money for this charity to help make sure those with alzhiemers recieve the best possible care and to hope that some day they may find a cure. Also that the family members affected are supported effectively.
