Mark Jump rides ValHalla ALL DAY on Halloween · 31 October 2013

Cheshire and Warrington Carers Centre offers information, advice and support to all carers across Cheshire and Warrington. This can be emotional and/or practical support with experienced and friendly staff.

Story

On 31st October 2013 I am going to ride Valhalla (at Blackpool Pleasure Beach) ALL DAY! Sounds crazy I know, but I wanted to do something different that would raise awareness of carers and the invaluable role they play in society, and of Cheshire and Warrington Carers Centre, who have supported my family for many years.

The Centre covers Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, and Warrington boroughs, an area that has over 100,000 carers. They provide information, support and advice to professionals and carers alike. They offer benefits advice, emotional support, support groups, courses, relaxation vouchers as well as a free phone helpline to name but a few services. They work in partnership with lots of other charities in their area, as well as being a Network Partner of the national organisation Carers Trust (www.carers.org).

Raising money for the Centre means that they can continue their invaluable services as well as raising futher awareness to reach and help yet more carers.

A caring role often takes its toll on the carer, leaving them tired, stressed, burned out, lacking in confidence and feeling isolated.
The Carers Centre has a wealth of services that try and help the carer alleviate these negative feelings, and put them in touch with other carers in their area.

Three in five of us will be a carer at some point in our lives - carers are invaluable in our society so please donate so that Cheshire and Warrington Carers Centre may continue to support them.
