Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control, the Hit for 60 event has had to be cancelled.  The main sponsor of the event pulled out, leaving the costs of putting it on prohibitive.  However I have been offered a replacement charity event.  Instead of playing a continuous cricket match at Wellington College for 60 hours I will be taking part in an 8 a  side competition on the main square at Lords Cricket Ground on the 22nd July.  Those of you who know the game of cricket will be aware of what a special privilege this is.  Hopefully I can still raise lots of money for the charity, and will have a once in a lifetime opportunity to step out on to the Lords pitch.  I'm very sorry for the goalposts moving in this instance, and hope that you are still able to support me, and the Lords Taverners.

The event is to celebrate 60 years of charitable activity by The Lord’s Taverners. The Lord’s Taverners are a cricket based charity working to help children gain access to sport, especially those with disabilities or who are from a disadvantaged background.  For more info on their work see http://www.lordstaverners.org/charity/our-mission.htm

Many Thanks

Mark
