We provide an advanced trauma team to seriously injured people in London

Story

This year marks the 12th anniversary of Mark's life-changing accident and we also celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. To commemorate the fact that I've been married to Mark One as long as I've been married to Mark Two, I'm planning another mammoth cycle ride.

On 7 March 2009, Mark was flown from Brands Hatch, where the accident happened, to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel by the London Air Ambulance. They saved his life and after a long hospital stay he moved to a brain rehabilitation centre in Grafton Regis, where he lived till August 2010.

During July, along with a few friends, I plan to ride Mark's Road to Recovery. Setting off from Brands and stopping off in East London, Northamptonshire and eventually home to Stamford. It's about 150 miles, will take a couple of days and I'll be raising funds for the air ambulance. They are a charity and need  around £5000 a day to keep flying. Without their help Mark would have died and you never know, you might need their help one day too.

Thanks for your support.

With our love

Mark (2) and Ali xx
