Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!

A number of years ago Mark's mum was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. For those that are uninitiated, its a degenerative disorder of the central nervous system. There is currently no cure with as many as 1 in 500 suffering from the disease in the UK alone. As a result, Parkinsons UK needs as much help as it can to assist in medical research and providing support, information and advice to sufferers.

Both Bubble and Mark through the years have done a wide range of work for charity but this time we've decided to go LARGE and undertake a Sahara Trek in May 2012.

Across 6 days, covering over 100km we will be trekking through  Morocco, beyond the Jebel Saghro region, a forbidding landscape punctuated by stark peaks, formidable gorges and bright oases.
