Team BIO
We thought you'd like to know a little bit more about the people that form 'The Marketing Macaws' with a light-hearted introduction to the four members of the team who work in the Marketing side of Capita Children's Services. There's a real mix of characters who are both looking forward to competing on the day and helping to raise as much money for a fantastic cause at the same time.
- Bex:
The equivalent of a human Duracell bunny, Bex is constantly up and down in the office to the point where she is actually considering running to the event on the day from her home in Bedfordshire to clock up some extra points. One of the newest members of the campaigns team, you may recognise Bex from the TV as she actually appeared on and won Pointless a few years ago!
- Cathy:
Affectionately known as 'scatty Cathy' (AKA Scat Cat), Cathy has been building up a reputation for losing anything she can get her hands on, with colleagues often finding her car keys, ID badge and laptop hidden in various places around the office. Cathy runs My Account and has been preparing for the challenge itself by being run ragged by new puppy Alfie alongside planning for her wedding day later in the year.
- Joe:
The newest member of the Marketing Macaws, there was a lukewarm reception to Joe’s initial desire to join, but after he insisted that he would wear anything for the cause on the day, he was welcomed with open arms. Working in the digital team, Joe is perhaps best known for pulling off the ‘just got out of bed look’ at 3 in the afternoon, while he also once declared himself a movie buff, until he casually admitted his favourite film is ‘Olympus has fallen’, at which point he lost all creditability. That said, he’s a great addition to the team!
- Dean:
The office Arsenal fan and author of these incredible bio's, Dean can often be found crying come Monday morning as his team continually blow their best chances of winning the league title in the last 10 years. That aside, and capping a one year anniversary in the Communications team, he's quite looking forward to competing in his first Capita Challenge having encountered the peer pressure of the marketing team to sign-up and being told to mark the team name by dressing up in a macaw onesie.
