London to Brighton 60 Mile Extreme Trail Run · 22 September 2013

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove and South East Hampshire, caring for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age every year, both at the hospice and in families’ own homes.

Story

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my justgiving page.  I've set myself a bonkers personal challenge to complete the 60 mile trail race from London to Brighton in one day!!!.  Although I've run marathons before, this is on a whole other level!  Whilst undertaking this challenge I've given myself extra motivation and set myself another target of raising £3,000 for a wonderful and deserving charity -  Chestnut Tree House.

Chestnut Tree House is the only children's hospice in Sussex and cares for 280 children and young adults from 0-25 years of age with progressive life-limiting conditions from Sussex and South East Hampshire.  There are potentially 1,000 families with life-limited children in Sussex. Chestnut Tree House offers support for the whole family including psychological and bereavement support, end of life and short break care and sibling support.  As a parent myself to two beautiful children this charity really pulls at my heart strings.

A man just as mad as me is Tony Fraser who has also been given day release, and with whom I am running this event with.  He is also raising funds for a great charity close to his heart.

We really appreciate any spare pennies you can muster and can assure you that they will be greatly appreciated and WILL make a difference.

Once you donate using JustGiving, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for any donations!
