UPDATES
Hello everyone,
A huge thank you to everyone for their support so far, as you can see I'm not too far away now from my £600 fundraising target! But if you haven't donated already, I could really do with your help...
I would really appreciate any further support and if you have any tips, please get in touch!
Thank you once again for all your support so far,
Markus

Thank you for visiting my page.
Here's your chance to help me help to build a playground in Uganda over this summer, with a charity called East African Playgrounds from July 23rd-August 21st.
East African Playgrounds (EAP) is a UK-based charity that sends out teams of volunteers from the UK and builds playgrounds for schools, orphanages, charities and other organisations in East Africa.
The build of a playground in Uganda will provide an important space for the children to escape the stresses of life. Building playgrounds will not change the world, but it will complement the work of existing charities and give children something that many others take for granted.
In order to take part I need to raise a minimum of £600. I plan on doing this by organising sponsored events with my fellow volunteers at university in 2011. Every penny I raise will go towards the building of the playgrounds, including materials and employment of a local welder.
Having enjoyed such an incredible experience during my time in Madagascar around two years ago, I can’t wait to get out to Masaka in Uganda to experience another exciting and interesting new culture and country, whilst helping local people to help themselves at the same time! Having helped to build a school in Madagascar, I’m really looking forward to helping the local Ugandan people build a space for both children and adults to play in and enjoy alongside their pre-existing school. The inclusion of the local community in the consultation, design and build process by EAP is something I believe to be very important also.
It would be fantastic if you could help me out, through ideas of fundraisers, tales of your travels or donations. I would be grateful for any support.

Once again, thank you for visiting my page and I look forward to hearing from you soon!!
