Story
Little Hadham Hooters are a small cycling club based in Hertfordshire but with active members as far out as Australia. Our participation in O2e's annual cycling fund raising event has grown steadily with now 10 cyclists from LHHCC sweating and puffing their way through a 250 mile ride in France in September. This year I am proud to once again be one of the riders, challenging myself for the second year running. (I am in the yellow sleeves above).
We're doing the O2e ride because we want to improve the lives of children who are in need of help due to disability or illness through fundraising. 100p in every £1 that O2e raises goes to the charities they support and We are proud that one of those charities is based locally to us supporting children with learning difficulties. See the good work that the lovely team at St Elizabeth's do at this link: stelizabeths.org.uk
Last year was a great effort, and the team has some new members this year but the commitment is very much individual. Everyone has to dig deep riding long days in what is usually wet and windy conditions. Every penny you can spare will inspire us through the wind and rain, and up the long steep climbs.
Every penny goes straight to O2e, the ride is paid for by the riders, and if you need further insight into the great work that O2e does, please check.
