<p>Dave, Nick &amp; Mark - 3 mates who've decided to take-on the toughest amateur cyclosportive event in Europe - La Marmotte (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/La_Marmotte).&nbsp; Our aim is to raise funds for the essential work of The Fountain of Peace charity, giving orphaned kids in Uganda a chance to grow-up in a community with education, healthcare, and most importantly, love.</p> <p>La Marmotte is an event set around classic climbs in the French Alps.&nbsp; Each year, close to a third of the 7,00 participants fail to finish, so it'll be a major achievement for any of us just to cross the finish line at the summit of L'Alpe d'Huez.&nbsp; (Even the silver standard qualifying time is 11 hrs 10 mins!).&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>07 July will be a day of suffering on the bike for us, although it could mean an end to a lifetime of suffering for these kids.&nbsp; <em></em>&nbsp;</p> <p>Please consider giving a few quid to make a real difference.&nbsp;</p> <p>God bless you - Dave, Nick &amp; Mark</p>
