Thanks for taking the time to visit out Just Giving page. After racking our brains to find a way of raising money for an absolutely amazing charity, we've come up with a challenge of massive proportions!! We have decided to tackle the " THREE PEAKS CHALLENGE " This challenge involves climbing the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours, yes that’s right, we will climb and travel between the tallest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales within 24 HOURS!!!
On the 30th June 2012 we will be taking on The Three Peaks which are: Ben Nevis - Scotland: 1344 metres Scafell Pike - England: 978 metres Snowdon - Wales: 1085 metres The distance walked is around 25 miles, the height climbed is around 10,000 feet, and the distance to be covered between the mountains is some 450 miles by road..... This Challenge is both exhilarating and demanding and cannot and should not be under estimated. Will We Complete It? Lets Hope So :) The Planned Schedule for the day is outlined below: 5pm Start Ben Nevis. 10pm Finish Ben Nevis and start drive to Scafell Pike (six hour drive). 4am Arrive and start climbing Scafell Pike (Wasdale Head) 8am Finish Scafell Pike and start drive to Snowdon (five hour drive). 1pm Arrive and start climbing Snowdon 5 pm Finish Snowdon, and complete challenge.
We are attempting all of this and raising money for a truly fantastic charity that desperately needs your help. The Lavender Hill Mob Theatre Company.
My brother James was born with downs syndrome. The experience of The Lavendar Mob Theatre Company is a vital part of James' life, it gives him confidence and brings immense happiness within a life that’s full of obstacles and barriers. The Lavendar Hill Mob Theatre Company aim to include every group of youngsters within their performances regardless of ability and disability.
In an declining financial environment, less and less people find an excess of income to be able to donate and help with charities all over the country. This makes life extremely hard for charities and The Lavender Hill Mob Theatre Company is no different. All we ask of you is that you donate as little, or as much as you can towards a charity that depends solely on the good faith and kidness of donations from individuals. Yes, charity should begin at home, however it doesn't need to stay there.
I'd like to say a huge thanks to all of you for taking the time to read this page and consider sponsoring us to complete this monumental challenge.
wish us luck and please continue to help others as one day we may need help ourselves.
