Marie Curie provides care and support for people living with any terminal illness across the UK. Our nurses work night and day in people’s homes and our hospices offer specialist care. We also support people emotionally, provide practical information, and match them with trained volunteers.

Story

So my life changed so much in December 2015, when my mum was diagnosed with advanced & aggressive Pancreatic cancer.

The support and care that charities such as Marie Curie give is vital at this time and I just really needed to feel like I was giving something back.

So as you may or may not know I'm a huge petrol head and a group of us take the trip to Lemans each year to watch a fantastic and historic race.

I can't bake, run far or jump out of planes for a sky dive (heights just aren't me) so I thought what about just stopping shaving and join the trendy youth of today and grow a big ginger beard.  I will then have a 'shave off' on the day of the 24 Hour Race.

Please give generously as i'm a middle aged man now who should probably know better than trying to stay in touch with the young trendy crowd of today, and the next few months will be a very itchy affair.

Thanks
