My names Martin Connolly and I’ve decided to take part in the 2018 Bank of Scotland 10k in loving memory of Gary Dee (27/05/89 - 03/06/2018) and in aid of Mental Health UK to raise awareness for the silent demon that does not discriminate.

Some of you who know me will probably understand that I’m a bit of a couch potato & like a few too many beers at the weekend so running this is a bit of a big deal!

Having also dealt with Mental Health I understand how difficult it can be to admit that you need some  help or even just building the courage up to speak to those who are close to you.

Things do get better though and I encourage anyone battling with Mental Health on a daily basis to stay strong and to never be ashamed!
