My story

Hi,

My name is Martin Davidson and on the 29th June 2012 i will be a member of a team of students from Liverpool Hope University who will be undertaking two weeks of voluntary work for SOS Childrens Villages in the village near Lilongwe in Malawi.

SOS Childrens Villages are the world's largest orphan and abandoned children's charity. The children that they care for may be aids orphans, street children, child soldiers or children orphaned by war, poverty or natural disasters.

We have been asked by the charity to deliver sessions that promote teamwork and help to develop the children's social skills.

To achieve this i will be using ' The Greatest Game' of Rugby League and deliver coaching sessions that will teach them the basics of the game whilst promoting teamwork.

The money that i am raising will enable me to take kit and equipment with me which i can then leave at the village so the children can use it for years to come.

If anyone knows of a business that may be interested in sponsoring any equipment please contact me for further information. You can contact me by e-mail at: martin.davidson@hotmail.co.uk or on twitter at: @martindavidson3

Any donations would be gratefully recieved and all monies donated via just giving go directly to Global Hope the charity arm of Liverpool Hope University.
