Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Update 14th Sept

So my legs are a bit sore and aching this morning.  I made it round in 59mins and 28 seconds, so just broke my 1 hour barrier , which I was hoping and pacing for.

Weather was kind, with a nice bit of cloud cover and cooling breeze.

Many thanks for the team of supporters - Mum and Jac, and a big well done to other work colleagues, Wayne and John in the 10K with me, and Kathryn, Christina, Anita, Sally and a special mention to her son Ben, aged 7 who completed it with her.

I have nearly reached my target of £200 but any further donations to break this will be most gratefully received.

So would I do it again?........................Maybe - it was fun in the end...................I 'spose

And of course thanks to Kate at BVP for getting me into it in the first place

Update: 10th Sept.  With off line contributions of another £20 pledged, I have exceeded my 50% target in two days, so with a bit of luck we can push it further .

Did my last training run yesterday (5K), so I am now eating carefully, only drinking Guinness rather than any old alcohol, and resting.

At the ripe old age of 50 this year, I thought it was about time I had a go at one of these runs.

Apparently it is FUN!!

Hmmmm!! - It seems painful, but the training has been coming along, and I will get there

I have decided to support the Charity of my employer, The NEC Group, which this year is the Marie Curie Cancer Fund.

Anything you can contribute will be gratefully received
