Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I am participating in tough mudder in Scotland on 20th June this year to raise awareness for crohns and colitis. Tough mudder is a 13 mile endurance race with 26 obstacles ranging from ice skips, swimming through rivers, electric shocks and tear gas. I am running in a team of my best friends "stand by me", this team includes our main reason for running. My  friend Titch aka Matthew Cummings. He has lived with crohns disease most of his life, enduring many operations, doctors visits, medications and the intolerable day to day living crohns can make you endure. At a point a couple of years ago thinking he had turned a corner and improving in health, things took a turn for the worst and hit Matthew severely, almost taking our amazing friend away from us. It is since then that Matthew has put up an incredible fight, never moaning, complaining, just getting on and never letting this awful disease beat him. It is a huge accomplishment for me to finish tough mudder, so I cannot imagine what it will be like for Matthew to be running with us too. But it is an honour to have him running at our side. So we would be most overwhelmed by your sponsorship to raise awareness for a charity and an illness that is becoming more widespread through out the world.
