It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

Together with 60 other Spencer Stuart colleagues from more than 20 countries around the world, I have signed up to run the Berlin Marathon 2017 for the Pancreatic Cancer UK Foundation.

I personally will be running my 4th marathon and as always, it will be a fun and painful challenge, for a good cause.

Pancreatic cancer has the worst survival rates of any of the 21 most common cancers, with fewer than 4% of patients surviving for five years or longer following diagnosis. Some of my colleagues in our Firm have sad and personal experience with the disease. The Pancreatic Cancer UK Foundation is fighting to make a difference and Jonathan Harper, partner from our London office is a member of the Foundation's advisory board.

We all receive many requests for support, but I would be very humbled if you could spare any donation, for this cause. If you also think you have friends who might have been touched by this disease please forward the link to them.

Thank you so much in advance for your support – and keep an eye out for the Spencer Stuart team during the race on September 24 in the streets of Berlin!
