Story
Its been over three years since I last raised money for charity on a cycling event. On 31 July (yes next Sunday) I will be riding in the Ride London 100 cycle event starting at the Olympic Park in Stratford at 6.07am. The journey follows much of the 2012 Olympic cycle race route, riding across London to Richmond, out to Surrey for a few hills, then back to London and finishing on the Mall. I am targeting doing this in 5 hours, so back for coffee time!
I am pleased to be doing the ride to raise money for Unicef, whose work around the world sadly seems to be more in need than ever, including their work helping children caught up in the Syrian and middle east refugee crisis.
Unicef are targeting raising over £100,000 through their riders and, whilst it is late in the in the day (like my training), I would be very grateful if you could help support Unicef by sponsoring me.
Many thanks
Martin
