I'm running my first (and potentially last) full marathon in April (the Great Welsh Marathon). I don't usually ask for sponsorship for races, but thought as this may be the only marathon I do, I'd go for it. I'm raising money for Velindre Cancer Unit, which is where my wife had her treatment a couple of years ago. They were very good, but some of the overnight accommodation when you're in for chemo could do with updating. I figure anything that makes the treatment more bearable can have a big impact.

So, I know times are cash strapped, but if you've got a spare fiver going, please donate. Even if it's just for the image of me collapsing, wheezing and hobbling over the line.
