In 2013, Guernsey girl Sarah Groves was tragically murdered on a houseboat in Kashmir. Due to Sarah's insatiable love of life, together with her desire to make a change in the world and her determination to help as many people as she could, the Sarah Groves Foundation has been established as a Charitable Trust. It will focus on Sarah's inspirations and aspirations which came from art, children, and fitness. This fund will continue Sarah's legacy which is all about helping others and achieving one's dreams.
Under the category of "fitness", a 750 mile bike ride between Guernsey – Amsterdam –Guernsey will be supported by the Foundation in order to raise funds to support its overall aims.
The 2018 Tour De Sez will take place in September. It will last for 9 days and will comprise 100 amazing like-minded individuals cycling to Amsterdam before returning to Guernsey.
I am a member of the 2018 team and am extremely proud to be so; however, I need to reach the minimum target of £2,000 in sponsorship for me to actually take part. All monies raised are donated to local children's causes.
