When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community.

Story

I've given up saying this is my last London Marathon, 'cos it's just so much good fun.  Plus, it saves me a fortune on beer tokens...

This year, I am raising money for two charities: the Fishermen's Mission and The Stroke Association.  The Stroke Association work on improving prevention, treatment and rehabilitation, and with 150,000 people in the UK suffering a stroke each year, it's an important cause to support.

Now the technical bit: Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Stroke Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

As always, there will be more over on http://martinlittle.com/ and on Twitter/Facebook.
