My story
Last year, friend and colleague at Makita UK of Natalie (my wife), Graham Aird, came up with the crazy idea of a team of us cycling from London to Paris for charity this coming August. At the time, with the date still a year away, it seemed like a great idea - half a dozen of us all taking on a 300-mile ride of our lives. Now it is only 5 months away, there are only two of us, and it's looking very real.
Our chosen charity is Breast Cancer Care, which is Makita's charity of the year after a number of their staff were affected by the disease. The aim is to raise in excess of £10,000 between us.
We are now hard in training for the four-day event to ensure success in both achieving the target, and raising money for Breast Cancer Care.
