Velindre Cancer Charity helps deliver exceptional cancer services to over 1.7 million people across South East Wales. We help pave the way for a future with world-class, research-led treatments and supportive care that can change lives. Together, we will achieve Victory Over Cancer.

Story

A very good friend of ours, Sue Evans, was diagnosed with a form of lung cancer in November 2008 and was very poorly. Treatment by a team of specialists at the Velindre Cancer Centre has been very successful. Funding for lung cancer research can be hard to come by giving that many people associate it with smoking (Sue didn't smoke) and Sue's husband Huw is determined to raise £1m for the Velindre Cancer Centre. As the official photographer to the Welsh Rugby Union, Huw has managed to convince 15 former Welsh rugby captains to climb Kilimanjaro in September 2010 and when he asked if I would like to go as well, I decided that it was one of those once in a lifetime opportunities that I had to accept. Please give generously to this very worthwhile cause. Thanks.

P.S. I will contribute at least the cost of the trip so all your donations will go straight to the charity.
