Everest Base Camp challenge · 16 October 2018 to 2 November 2018 ·

The Steve Prescott Foundation was set up by a totally inspirational man Steve Prescott MBE. In 2006 he was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei a terminal cancer & sought out to raise funds for The Christie Hospital and the Rugby League Benevolent Fund. The SPF changes the lives of so many people.

Story

For those who know me well, I've always been up for a challenge.  Everest BC will be a big test for me and I'm very excited to be part of this great team.  Most importantly, I'm raising money for the Steve Prescott Foundation - a local organisation which supports not just 1 but 3 incredible charities - one of which being Christies, which is particularly meaningful to me.

So, on the 16th October this year, we start our 2 week adventure to EBC which is perched on the Khumbu Glacier. As well as trekking to Base Camp we will be climbing Kala Pattar (5545m) for a magnificent view of the highest mountain on Earth.

Throughout 2018 I will also be taking part in various 10k runs, half marathons and commando trails as part of "upping" my training regime and I'd really appreciate your support and donations along the way.

I'm very grateful to you all!

Thank you
Martine
