2010 Asics British 10K London Run · 11 July 2010 ·

Brigitte Trust volunteers offer a free service of emotional support and practical help at home to people and their families facing the enormous challenge of life-threatening illness. 208 families were supported last year. Please help us reach out to even more.

Story

Now, I know I have already run a Marathon this Spring...so when I was asked to run a 10K for Vanessa's charity there was only one way of doing it - in costume.   A different challenge for me altogether!

I would like to ask 50 people for £10 each to help train and support a Brigitte Trust volunteer for a whole year.  Seeing me dressed as Fred Flintstone, running through Trafalgar Square and over Westminster Bridge has got to be worth £10...hasn't it?  You will be helping this important charity support people at the end of their lives and offer valuable respite to their carers and wider family.  The trust helped over 200 families last year - more than ever before.

Please listen to their podcast to hear how the trust has helped John and Brenda Simpson.

Vanessa has promised to add some pictures to this site after the race to prove I really did it so please check back after July 11th

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.  Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the Brigitte Trust and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thanks a lot for sponsoring me!
