London Rat Race 2009 · 26 September 2009 ·

We are an international organisation working to build a prosperous rural Africa. We help farmers to increase their harvests, build their incomes and sustain natural resources, partnering with governments and the private sector to find effective ways to fight poverty.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit ourJustGiving page.

The team is taking part in the gruelling Rat Race Urban Adventure on September the 26th - 27th on behalf of FARM-Africa.

FARM-Africa is a charity which provides the training and support that poor rural communities need to identify and implement appropriate solutions to many of the key problems they face.  Families are directly supported to help work themselves out of poverty through improved ways to manage their crops, livestock, forests and access to water.

The Rat Race is an urban adventure challenge event that turns cities into high-adrenaline adventure playgrounds for participants of all abilities. Teams of three will hike, bike, abseil, climb, kayak and navigate their way around the streets, structures, waterways and urban landscapes of the country’s coolest cities.

Our race will include as a minimum; a 10K run, 50K bike ride and 3K Kayak… so help us to make this ordeal worthwhile as well as to raise money for a very deserving charity!
