Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 10th November 2018, I shall be falling for the fallen. I will be taking part in Alabarés Homes for Veterans WW1 Commemorative skydive. 100 people are skydiving to mark the 100 years since the end of WW1.

As the largest provider of dedicated accommodation for former serving Military Personnel outside of London, Alabaré has 124 beds in homes varying in size from 3 to 8 bedrooms across South England and Wales.  Each of the homes focuses on enabling the Veteran of all ages to overcome issues that have led them to become homeless.
Many have been impacted by their time in the Military and need a wide range of support to enable them to transition from the Army, Royal Navy or RAF into civilian life. The support may include help to overcome issues around mental ill-health, transfer skills from Military to civilian employment, secure housing and learn to integrate into society.  Alabarés approach includes building confidence, teaching life skills such as budgeting and giving a sense of value and purpose to Veterans who feel they have lost this.
