I will be abseiling 262ft down the ArcelorMittal Orbit (262 foot long subways!!!!!!!!) I am doing this for my ultimate childhood best friend! 

Many years ago our grandparents had the pleasure of living opposite each other and became the best of friends. They then introduced our mothers to each other when they were born and they also became friends.Alex was then born in 1994 and didn't know what was coming when I was born in 1997.

Each week when we visited our grandparents we'd always make time for each other whether it was to make 'woodlice houses' out of shoe boxes or even just an ice cream before going home time.

Growing up we've both had many obstacles but we'd always see it through together. Last year she was first admitted to Moorfields and then took a fabulous ambulance ride from Royal Surrey with sight threatening Glaucoma. To tell you how serious this was the surgeon traveled at 2am from Kent as he know if he didn't she would lose her sight. Fortunately this surgery was a success however her battle is not yet over and she is still travelling to Moorfiels every week to maintian her sight.
