I am swimming in memory of my brother, Jon Kedward, who had Huntington's disease. He had a hard life and a very hard death.
Before Christmas I could swim two lengths without stopping, which I was pretty pleased about, now I am proposing to join a one-mile outdoor swim taking place in Alton Water reservoir, near Ipswich, Suffolk. Enabled by swimming lessons and cheered on by my family. So far, I have swallowed a lot of water and grown muscles in places where they have never been before.
So please dig deep and support me, in Britain there are very few facilities for people with living withHuntington's disease and their carers and families need a lot of support.
