Story

Hello chaps and Chapettes!

I have taken the rather mad decision to run the London Marathon in April next year. I am running for the Royal Hospital for Neurological disability, which is the hospital I work for. It's a private charity, i.e. not part of the NHS, and it provides care for patients with a huge variety of neurological disabilities, including Multiple Sclerosis.

My inspiration for running this marathon comes from my mother. As many of you will know, she sadly passed away from Multiple Sclerosis in April 2007.  As a daughter, and as an Occupational Therapist, I feel very passionate about neurological disease. I wanted to know that the money raised would be spent very carefully, and for the right things. The money raised from this event will enable patients and residents at the hospital to live the most comfortable and enjoyable life possible. There is no limit to what a huge difference the little things can make to someone who faces disability every day of their lives, or their families for that matter.

You might have guessed that I'm not a runner, and this is going to be tough. But, I know that with all your encouragement, I can do it!! So come on, make that donation, and watch this space for my fundraising events!! I will keep you posted with my progress!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page guys, all you have to do now is type in your digits and donate all your wealth!! Cheers. x
