Master Grafters YouTube Show · 14 December 2020

10,500 people in the UK have ataxia which is a progressive neurological condition that disrupts the messages sent from our brains to our muscles that are used to move, speak, listen and see. Ataxia UK funds research into finding treatments and a cure and provide support until they are found.

Story

Last year my 12 year old son was diagnosed with Friedreich's ataxia which is a rare genetic disease that causes difficulty walking, a loss of sensation in the arms and legs, and impaired speech. It can also affect the heart.

Ataxia UK helped us to come to terms with the diagnosis and also offer continued support to us as a family and for my 12 year old son. The diagnosis came to us as a shock as we’d never heard of Ataxia.

I decided that I needed to do something to bring awareness to Ataxia Uk as a charity and to Ataxia as a whole, so after a fair amount of thought I came up with Master Grafters, a show that follows our lives at home and work here in Lincolnshire.

All proceeds raised through the YouTube show as well as through the Just Giving fundraiser go directly to Ataxia Uk.

Thanks so much for your support!
