Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On July 14th 2014 - in the 350th Anniversary year of the Royal Marines a Team of ex Royal Navy/Royal Marines will be cycling from the old Naval Dockyard in Chatham Kent, to Exmouth Devon. 350 miles plus in 5 days to raise funds to support injured Marines-Sailors and supporting personnel from various conflicts, many who are 'Double-Triple amputees, blind, or have life changing injures   Riders will be providing all their own costs and every penny raised will go to support injured personnel.  No admin or overhead costs, all involved are voluntary.   From the organiser - " Lets remember who we are doing this for and why, because of the number of seriously injured Royal Marines returning from operational tours in Afghanistan and Iraq and other areas of armed conflict a number of Charities were approached by our injured but were turned away because funds were not available".   With so many demands on peoples finances I only asking  a penny a mile £3.50/£4.00 (price of a pint of beer) it would greatly assist to help and support these injured young men and women,  many who have been in rehabilitation for years, some will now ride with us for the  last 10 miles  to show their appreciation.  Thank you for reading and thank you for your support.
