I am taking part in a cycling event on Friday 12th August, riding from Liverpool to Leeds along the canal, approx 120 miles , hopefully taking only 2 days ( I could do this quicker but not all my friends are as fit as me!!)
This in theory should be a nice safe bike ride with some good friends, where we raise loads of money and have a good time doing it. The reality will be nettle stings, gravel rash, muscle cramp and in all likelihood a sore bum from the grossly inadequate saddle.

I have chosen the Leeds Children's Charity for various reasons, the most important being that it is one which supports and helps underprivileged Children in Leeds to help them enjoy their childhood and give them memories which they will remember all their lives. I felt this was a charity which is both close to what the organisation I work for strives and something which I feel is very important.
